Customer preparing water fitting to go into the Yard Hydrant Made Easy’s 1” FIP inlet. We recommend at least two feet of flexible piping, such as PEX, going into the inlet to prevent any strain in the piping or the YHME. Though we recommend PEX with a Legend pack fitting, a lot of people use “black coil plastic” with a barbed fitting as shown here. If using this method, be sure to use two all-stainless-steel hose clamps to back up the connection. Always consult your local plumbing code to make sure you are in compliance and follow the instructions included with your Yard Hydrant Made Easy™.
